Pros

i can't think of any at this point. The pay started out fairly good but the longer there, the more hours required to maintain or achieve.

Cons

no work, life balance, terrible leadership, unethical work requirements.

Pros

18 an hour weekends off

Cons

Everything else- literally had a mass lay off of hundreds of employees after AEP. I showed up every day and made sales like I was supposed to and was part of this. They lie and say you won't call people but you will and it's terribly boring and makes you unable to make as many sales as the older employees. Management is terrible and will lie to you and try to get you to do things that will get your license taken. They also Change your hours so some days you're working 12 or 13 hour days and again just calling people who mostly don't even pick up for you. They scam you into working for them so you can scam old people into insurance then they'll drop you when they've over hired. They also lie about commissions then change the commission structure after you're hired so I was literally making like 4 or 5 dollars per sale.

Pros

They have been around a long time, and do provide company benefits. Training is good when you start off.

Cons

Once training is over, they get right down to setting expectations and you MUST meet them (a specific combination of products) in order to keep your job. They give you two weeks, or let you go! I even had COVID during my first two weeks and kept working even though I told HR I had COVID and had the test results to show it. I felt HORRIBLE and kept working, and even then still got laid off right outside of 2 weeks of training! There were about 20 of us let go that day, on Jan 3rd! They have no guts no glory....and you're a number of the masses. In the next round my friends that made it through the first layoff, increased the expectations. In the second round, several of my friends were let go. I have told other insurance agents since then DO NOT apply at SelectQuote if you want a company who cares. I really said so many positive things about them until then. They do not care about their agents. They only care about what YOU will do for them. Other companies will give you more time to ramp up your sales and percentages and make it more possible to stay. Find those companies. Also, the marketing is so messed up! Retires call in, who can't even afford to eat! The marketing says they can get FREE Life Insurance, and it's NOT FREE. So you have to sell insurance to people who call in, who are not actually very qualified leads. The leads are set up for frustration for the agent and the consumer calling in. To be successful here you better be willing to be high-pressure sales and sell even to those who can't afford their food that week. You are trained to guilt them into buying.
