Pros

Strong 401k match and most managers actually care about development and will try to support you in your journey.

Cons

Recent emphasis on our relocation has put a lot of strain on tenured employees, with a strong emphasis on future talent being better. The downward culture shift which has been happening is adding extra strain for almost all teams.

Pros

Good people for the most part; career stability if you don't mind staying where you are at.

Cons

Worklife balance is nonexistent if you want to stay on top of your book. the amount of work that gets delegated to an underwriter in this company hampers the actual underwriting. You are expected to handle audit problems and billing issues and claims problems. This industry is very dependent on relationships, that being said you are expected to bow to every agent request and this really interferes with effective underwriting. Management is too cozy with Agency leaders and this bias effects the underwriting. Career progression is slow unless you know the right people.
