Pros

You will get free lunch.

Cons

Only two days off for grieving for immediate family. If your mother dies and you don't have the death certificate right away, don't expect any days offs. Strict point system: Lateness is half a point, absence is 1 point. If you get 8 points, you're fired. Employees are not valued here: If you have a heart attack on the job and go to the hospital, you get a point against your attendance. Smoke environment. Some older employees get cancer. No holidays. High turnover: Most departments are completely new people within a year. Human Resources will never answer the phone. Low pay for entry positions. Many dead end jobs. Thirty minute lunch time. You cannot sue the Seminole Tribe's Casino in a U.S Court since they have no jurisdiction. As a result, you will have a hard time seeking compensation for anything that may occur.

Pros

-Can meet some amazing people (Co workers and guests) -Free food in EDR (may make you gain a few pounds) -Great holiday events for employees & their families -Can make pretty good money some days/nights 200 or 300 on some days depending on section and crowd -Usually a lot of shifts you can pick up during the week -can request off & "sometimes actually get approved" -Management isn't horrible, just too many rules that make you feel like a juvenile -$50 birthday gift card to eat at any restaurant in the casino

Cons

-The smoke can take a toll on your health (You will leave each shift reeking of cigarettes) -Sexual harassment! (You will have at least a few incidents from guests or sometimes other staff of the casino) -With that you don't always get a lot of respect from guests who usually assume you're beautiful and stupid -Co workers can be catty & atmosphere can feel a bit like high school cliques (Remember you're around A LOT of estrogen) -Uniform is uncomfortable at times. It's quite brief, if you're the conservative type, this isn't the place for you. -When the panty hose rip, it's hard hiding it from supervisors if you don't have a spare -Very high turnover rate for cocktail servers, they let you know that every single person is replaceable. If you're not happy, then leave. There are literally dozens of girls who will take your place. -Supervisors also have a high turn over rate. Some are more strict than others. Everyone is friendly (for the most part). -Hard to receive benefits -Starting off "On-Call" sucks. Random shifts during the week with random times. You work full time hours for no benefits if you have open availability on all days, Usually get a lot of not so great sections -Seniority should not be by position. It should be by hire date. That is one of the reasons the turnover is high. Doesn't keep people there. Keeps them from wanting to come back and start at the bottom just because they're moving from full time to part time. -A lot of walking (Make sure the boots you buy are comfortable) -Not the most understanding place if you also go to school -Buying the wrong cigarettes from the vending machine sucks, because then you have to sell them yourself in order to get your money back -You see a lot of addicts (both gambling & alcoholism) -Reviews on servers are not always fair -They constantly want you on the floor even if there's 4 people in your section -30 minutes breaks for cocktail servers. So sit alone if actually want to scarf down a full meal -During slow season, you will have $50 days. Save up during high season

Pros

Toke rate (tips) is the only pro, everything else at this casino makes you hate your job.

Cons

Horrible management. You will get harrased by customers including threats and abuse and 90 persent of management will do nothing about it. If you get on someones bad side, they will find a reson to fire you.
