      Great benefits, but not a good place for parents

      Great benefits. Hobby benefit (books in my case) is great.

      Cons

      Processes are a mess. People tend to say 1-2 years here and there is a lot of legacy code some Russian developers wrote, but documentation is bad. If you have little kids this is not the best place to be. You will.have to fight some managers and PMs not to have meetings in the middle of the time you need to pick up your kids or give them lunch. Since people spends so little time, the company is run by HR. I never had so many meetings with HR in my life.

      Flexible working, fast pace and plenty of space to grow

      Pros

      Flexible working, competitive pay, truly unique benefits for staff and a leadership driving change and innovation in a gem of a company. The company has a lot of space to grow and at all levels you can tangibly drive that growth. Anyone who worked in big-tech pre covid knows how valuable the work culture is here, and the occasional high pressure moments are more than worth it. Moving here was my best career choice to date.

      Cons

      There is a friction between legacy staff who like things “as they are” and newer employees who’ve seen other environments and can bring fresh perspective but generally are not empowered to do so. It’s a good challenge of identity vs progress that most companies experience at this stage, but it is a big challenge.
