Bad management. Employer expects employees to put in 11-12 hrs days and work weekends too . Pretty much I had to work 7days a week for months and end up having go to emergency since I was overworked and had no rest and had a hard time breathing. Supervisor didn't even care to ask how I was doing and asked if I was going to return to work the next day. Even had to work through lunch and that's considered lucky if I was able to even get food in my body.

Salary is lower than market Ambiguous RSU and Royalty programs. Limited exposure to upper management considering it is a small/mid sized company.

Strict upper management. Constant rule changes to the production line. Forgetting or messing up a step can get you fired. New hires over couple months due to a firing every couple months.

the middle management is great, but the upper management (directors and above) is creating a toxic work environment

Upper Management needs to change their attitude of "Penny wise Pound foolish"

Upper management is not knowledgeable with the technology and market of the company they acquire, Apparently every acquired company are filled with leadership people personally close to Semtech's head even if their not experts on that technology space. Bottom line, the net effect is it turns a leading edge business to the least in their space. Very short term outlook and is not calibrated for the long haul. Forces employees to take the accrued vacations while management get's bonuses and project deadlines are not re-adjusted to required vacation forcing people to work on their vacation days.

Management is poor, all around it would seem. They do not value any of their employees and have no problem letting people go on no notice and for no real reason other than they did not meet their financial numbers (AGAIN!). Company is constantly re-organizing upper and mid management, constantly laying off only to rehire new people the following month. They offer great bonuses that they never give out because they can never meet their financial numbers, they offer stock offerings which are of little value because upper management always rewards them selves by diluting millions of shares so by the time you get to sell yours they are worthless. Occasional mid year stock bonuses and options which are again worthless for a stock that seems always in decline. IT management is terrible! And technology is way behind, the business does not value IT and does not invest in it.

waste of time working there and loss of valuable years if you would like to move ahead. upper management doesnt know anything and behave as if like trained dogs
