I worked full time for Senior Helpers I was given work all the time. Often overworked. One time 130 hours in a week. One day after my current client was over., I called in for more work but was repeatedly told by the schedulers, who said there was "no work" at the moment. This seemed odd, because I know they were a busy company..i have been told by many that I am a compassionate, responsible wonderful Caregiver/cna. One of the inside staff. finally told me they , the schedulers had been told not to give me any more work.this was after months of lying by them to my face! Upper management, when asked about this said they were "telling me now" about the decision! With no apology or explanation.
In retrospect I have known a number of caregivers who have been treated like this by Senior Helpers. The company doesn't care if you burn out. They are in the business to make a profit I am glad I was hired and gained experience, but highly disappointed in the way they handled my termination.
