Pros

The only good thing is they belong to many hospitals.

Cons

They treat employees horribly. To much drama and they lie just to cover their own butt. They discriminate employees and mess with their pay. Employees struggle because the pay is super low meanwhile other companies have a better pay and respect their employees. It is a disgrace to know that those who should care about you do not and will screw you over. IF YOU GET FIRED AND FILE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT THEY WILL LIE AND DO ANYTHING THEY CAN FOR YOU NOT GET PAID WHILE YOU LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB. They also lie and find ways to fire you even if you do nothing wrong. So in my opinion do not come to this company they will mess with your ems career. They will have a law suit on their hands soon because it is very wrong of them for treating employees like this.

Pros

SeniorCare is an easy place to get hired, basically just need a certificate and a clean record. You will gain experience working on ambulances, meet coworkers you will know for your career, and may even become Ling time friends. They also have several 911 contracts, so if you are not vaxed with the FDNY or a voluntary, this can be a place to gain this kind of experience to move on elsewhere. You will have difficult jobs that challenge you in transport, even if they are few and far between. Try to work at the Bronx or Ling Island bases. Scheduling is fairly flexible and there are always open shifts. If you work 911 and want a vacation, not a bad job, but maybe look elsewhere for better pay, etc.

Cons

Management and logistics at the Brooklyn location go largely unmonitored and are unmotivated. It is a hostile work environment and you will likely not be treated with respect. There are one or two good supervisors and logistics personnel, but they are the exception. You constantly are made to feel like you are inferior, safety concerns are ignored, and harassment is the norm. Operations are not able to keep up with demands, uniform requests go unanswered for months and years. In addition, check your paychecks. Myself and literally everyone I speak to who work the road have an issue every week with hours being incorrect, overtime not paid properly, and it can be a fight to try to get paid correctly. If it was one or two people once in a while, I would not feel that it was intentional. The turnover rate is insanely high, even for EMS. Dispatch. I could write a whole review about this department alone. On one hand, employees are treated so poorly my management and/or some are just naturally lazy, many hold signal and don’t respond to jobs or go available when they should. That said, there are crews who do, yet dispatch also is very disrespectful and not supportive of crew needs. You will get late jobs. You will probably get a discharge from Bronx Leb going to Long Island, while you’re at post at Grand Army Plaza 5 minutes before your off time. You will be told that you’re 98, before you’re even triaged.
