Definitely a solid place to begin your career as long as you stay motivated and don't become stagnant.

There are many different technologies you can play with besides Cisco.

Cons

Pretty much zero job recognition in the NOC even if you go above and beyond. It's been made ok to do less than the bare minimum. So many customer environments to deal with makes it difficult to troubleshoot at times.
