Three years with Serco and the leadership did not seem to care

Pros

It was a good job. Liked the people I worked with. Good benefits and salary. The real Program Manager was very good and seemed to care about the team.

Cons

Little contact with the company itself. Onsite PM that did not how to manage. Felt like I was on my own. Worst was it was onsite with the customer. Very little direction.

Lack of structure and organizational leadership They lie and will allow harassment to continue in the workplace. They lie about the benefits. They low ball you in pay. Ignore the voices of the harassed and will support and enable the harasser while threatening you with your job.

Managers work in a vacuum. Employees are afraid to state their concerns given that they will be the new target for backstabbing and eventual termination. I feel very sorry for the contracts and purchasing departments. They appear to be blamed for everything, even though the majority of the issues are not their fault. Program management needs to take responsibility for their own actions and stop blaming the contracts folks. I've seen too many contracts and procurement personnel walked out the door for no fault of their own. I strongly suggest that anyone considering working for Serco to reconsider. It is the worst place I've worked in 30 years.
