I worked in service check & I must say that it is VERY poorly managed and most of the people in supervisory positions are unprofessional. I noticed it from the first day. The Service check portion is painfully disorganized and a bit...ghetto. One person will tell you one procedure, the next will tell you it's wrong and to do it this way. You do that, it's still wrong. It's whack all the way around.
As for the job, IT SUCKS. You listen to people complain about nothing for 8 hours a day. The calls are back to back day in and day out. Management has a tendency to hold the calls & let them pile up, giving you a 15 or so minute break but by doing that, they pile the calls up on the employees. Instead of letting the calls be steady or hiring enough people so that you're not drowning in calls or forced to use "After Call Work Time" just to keep from losing your mind, this is how they operate. Calls also don't go in order based on when you log it. Management can funnel the calls to certain people so that you'd get calls before the next person even if they've been waiting on a call longer than you. Wtf is that???
The lunches are only 30 minutes & the breaks are 10. The dress code is business casual for God knows why. I don't see why one needs to be dressed up to take a call about a cold burger. You're not seen by the public & the place is already disorganized so why the he-- should people be dressing up???
