Toxic Corporate Management Has Lost Sight of Original Mission
Pros
The employees who serve clients are truly dedicated to Human Services. Why else would they work under increasing benefits costs, no corporate recognition, and no pay increases for 4+ years?
Cons
Truly an example of allowing corporate finance to rule an organization. It's all about the Benjamins! Corporate management is absolutely disconnected from those employees who make it happen. The CHRO has wasted hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars on frivolous software/ employee self service systems and non-value added corporate HR staff which has achieved nothing but employee disengagement. So much so, that The MENTOR Network is now being assailed by the SEIU. It could have been easily avoided with a few good strategic choices that didn't include building an HR kingdom (or queendom), and utilizing resources and dollars to recognize, reward, and appreciate the field employees that selflessly serve disabled and vulnerable human beings on a daily basis. Meanwhile, the senior executive team received a 10% pay increase and bonuses while the field staff hasn't had a raise in four years and absolutely no communication about why. Something way wrong with that picture. Human services? Not sure about the human part, but if you're looking for a debt ridden, top heavy organization that is only concerned with making their interest payments to their capital investment masters, you have come to the right place. Good luck.
