One of the worst companies I have worked for.

Pros

They pay well. The benefits are above average. There are some nice people. Free food.

Cons

Where to begin. The management is inept; they micro-manage, are unprofessional, unapproachable, and foster an environment of back-stabbing and unhealthy competition between functions. This is not the fun, fast-paced, opportunity filled, team oriented organization that is sold. The executive management does not care about its employees. Those who protest or even questions how things are done are deemed to not be a good fit. There is no home/work life balance. None. You will be expected to work on holidays, vacation days, be available 24/7. I have heard and seen things that are outright unethical and its only a matter of time before consequences catch up to the actions.

Pros

The pay can be decent compared to similar roles, which is honestly the main reason many people tolerate the environment. The products are well known, so having SharkNinja on your resume may help when you start looking for your next job. You will learn how to work under pressure—mostly because you have no other choice.

Cons

in my experience working at SharkNinja was one of the most frustrating professional experiences I’ve had, FULL STOP. The company moves fast, but in a chaotic way that leaves employees scrambling to keep up with constantly shifting priorities. NO ONE HAS A CLUE WHAT'S HAPPENING. Deadlines frequently feel unrealistic, communication between teams can be disorganized if it exists at all, and the pressure to deliver results sometimes comes at the expense of work-life balance. Each week you have to present to the CEO , shouldn't he be busy working on other areas of business? He's involved down to the sentence and punctuation in creative. Someone needs to be busier... Leadership talks a lot about innovation and speed, but in practice that often translates into horribly hours and a “figure it out yourself” culture. If you thrive at good comapnies, with inspiring leaders, this probably isn’t the place for you. While some people enjoy the intensity, many employees I worked with felt burned out fairly quickly. Seriously, just don't.

Pros

Fair pay, stock options, nice office, good benefits, hybrid work.

Cons

Toxic work culture due to poor leadership. Teams are constantly throwing each other under the bus and looking for someone to blame when things go wrong. ZERO strategy or standard operating procedures. Management calls this a 'fast paced, start-up like environment' which actually means the strategy will change every week over week, sometimes multiples days a week, and most of the time there is no strategy. You will be reprimanded if you can't keep up with what the ELT decides to call a 'strategy' that day. Horrible, horrible leadership. The CEO will overhaul a strategy weeks before launch based off a feeling. CEO typically sends the CPO to meetings they cannot attend, who has no experience in anything over than product and engineering. SVP of PD creates chaos because they can't keep strategies straight and sends teams running in circles. ZERO work life balance. Amongst the chaos, you are expected to work well outside of 9-5. Most meetings start at 7am and 8pm. You will be ridiculed if you have a personal commitment, family, or basic work/life boundaries. No commitment to professional development and no structured on-boarding or training. PIPs run rampant, there were individuals placed on PIPs 90 days into the role. PIPs are based off your manager/boss' opinion and most management suffers from confirmation bias.
