Pros

I have worked for the company for about 6 years and it took me that long to just become a keyholder. They are very biased and only hire people they like or fit them. Managers are a joke most of the time, my manager seems to not be able to find out the simplest information or just won't. I have to call her myself to find out any info if I need it. The customers will argue with you about pricing bc they have reps that will adjust their pricing and sometimes do it without them knowing so that leads the store people to have to deal with the backlash of an angry customer. I had a customer come in and call me some awful names not too long ago and we had to call the cops and everything he threatened me that he would bury me, anyway the DM only said to let the manager handle him from now on instead of banning him money or no he wasn't even buying a lot of stuff. I was scared to go to work for about 3 weeks after that and was laughed at when I said as much.

Cons

poor management Lack of communication between employees and employers They don't keep you safe Money hungry

Pros

The work you actually do is not much at all You’ll have regular customers/contractors and that bond can be pretty cool. Paint discount obviously. They are actively trying to diversify which is a good thing if your into that. Because stores are small, you as an employee “mean more” for lack of a better phrase.

Cons

Your day to day work life depends entirely on the store you work at. Mangers can be great people but terrible managers, and vice versa, but I’d say many are a good middle. Stores only have 4-6 people max, so if let’s say you have to take off, you might have to pull some strings as opposed to a bigger place with a lot of employees where you won’t be missed.
