AMAZING Company Culture

Pros

1. Shields is truly a wonderful company to work for. I have never had more involved or caring management in my 8+ years of working in pharmacy. 2. Everyone at Shields wholeheartedly believes in the culture of kindness that they work hard to promote. 3. If you want a career where you can actually impact patient's lives, this is it. 4. The company offers many opportunities for bonuses, and they are attainable. 5. Lots of internal promotion. If you work hard, you will get recognized.

Cons

Not really cons, but considerations. 1. You have to be ready to live through company growing pains. They try their absolute hardest to facilitate smooth transitions, but it doesn't always happen. 2. You are RESPONSIBLE for yourself. You have to have work ethic, drive to succeed, and you have to self advocate. For the right person these are pros not cons.

Pros

Shields Health Solutions have given me the opportunity to grow and adapt in an ever changing healthcare field. Shields emphasizes the extreme importance of patient care and kindness in our daily interactions. Shields treats its employees with kindness, compassion, and equality. Shields is always growing and changing to meet the needs of its hospital systems and provides its employees with an abundance of resources to tackle the changing environment. I must also point out the tremendous job Shields did during the COVID pandemic to make sure its employees were safe and had all the necessary tools to succeed in such an uncertain time. Given the option to work from home, a team of managers who were always there for support, and even a few phones calls from upper management just checking in to see how I was doing spoke volumes towards how Shields treats its employees. Shields has a generous compensation program, 401K match, and offers employees great health insurance.

Cons

I have been with Shields for 16 months now and can honestly say I am very happy. If I had to pick some cons for working for Shields it would be the weekly/daily calls with management, daily commute - its 106 miles combined both ways, and my own uncomfortability with doing telephonic outreach in an effort to onboard new patients to our service.

Pros

After more than 4 years with the organization, I'm am continuously humbled by the level of kindness that I witness. Kindness for our patients, our partners and for each other. This culture is what brought me to Shields and certainly one of the many reasons that I continue with Shields. I am also impressed with the investment into the growth and development of our employees. Shields commitment to "promote from within" is refreshing and not something that I've witnessed at this level in other organizations.
