Pros

If you live in the area and need a job or you will be destitute, then maybe Sibelco is for you. Otherwise, stay as far away as possible. Company recently instituted a profit share program as a way to stop so many from quitting. Health Insurance is good, but very expensive. 401k investing options are good, however the company match leaves a lot to be desired.

Cons

Local Management is horrible. Corporate (Europe) hired a management consulting firm to lay a road map out for North American management and these people still can’t make good decisions. Company culture in U.S. is toxic now. When someone drives through the front gate for an interview they immediately get a sense of the negative atmosphere, it’s on everyone’s faces. My advice, RUN AWAY SCREAMING.

Pros

There is absolutely nothing positive about this place.

Cons

1. Managers think they are always right and manage people from a place of authority. They never listen to your expert opinions and force you to continue working on senseless projects. 2. The company is facing serious problems and they cannot sustain themselves if they continue like this. 3. Compensations are very low and you have to live in a remote area or commute 2 hours a day. 4. They have no flexibility when it comes to remote work even if you are a senior staff and your physical presence is not required on a daily basis. 5. They offer only 10 days of PTO which is absolutely rediculous. 6. Locals are against people who come to this area and are not ashamed of showing it.
