Lots of gaps in a high-growth company

Pros

Promising product build in the modern data stack that works very well with Snowflake. Some strong hires added to the technical team. Opportunity to make a big impact, solve challenging problems and experiment.

Cons

The GTM and product teams are almost two disparate organizations. Sales is like a fraternity with heavy drinking as the main past time, a lot of time in the office playing politics. Marketing gets roasted in front of the entire company by the executive team and there is no investment into core functions like HR, finance, business ops.

Thank you for your comments and feedback - as you know we take all feedback seriously and it pains us to hear that your experience with us was not what we would have wanted it to be. We work really hard to drive a collaborative cross functional culture so that our product continually learns and evolves from what our GTM is learning so I'm sorry that that was not your experience but we appreciate the feedback and will redouble our efforts!

Terrible BDR leader

Pros

The BDR team is great and the managers used to be great but most of them have left

Cons

They recently brought in a new BDR director who was a BDR 5 years ago. She knew someone high up and ended up getting a role she’s not fit for. She changed how promotions works and brought in her own former BDRs without even putting them through the proper interview process (didn’t do a final interview)

Pros

Product is fantastic, many die hard Sigma fans + slowly chipping away at market share Comp Plan is pretty good

Cons

Deals are around $50k swing, slow and steady with the occasional multi-six figure deal Required to go in office and however the bathrooms have a sanitation/cleanliness issue and they should really pay for an onsite janitor

Thank you for taking the time to write this feedback and for being part of the ride so far with Sigma! Glad to hear that you feel rightly rewarded for your time and effort. We strive to keep our performance bar high , but also to reward performance and impact. We can assure you we are working behind the scenes, to improve our benefits and perks better for our employees and are always looking to make our in office experience constantly better. As you know we strongly believe that being together in the office is a central reason for our success - when we are together we are able to learn and innovate faster and it is that fast iteration and innovation that is driving our success. We love the culture that that creates so we couldn't disagree more that making that requirement looser would help us at all. Happy to talk more 1:1 if you want to reach out to anyone in People Operations about this!
