Pros

Everyone is passionate about what they're doing no matter what role they're in, as it results in the quality of care for our residents. The culture is very unique and special. It is a supportive, and team and family oriented workplace. We have an open door policy, and we have kids and pets in our workplace. I love the fact that after I started working here, I was able to refer Silverado's At Home services to my grandfather who is now under their care part time. It makes me happy to know that I was in the right place at the right time to help him find the care that he needs.

Cons

I would like to see us get paid if we get called for jury duty.

No matter what your role at Silverado, at the end of the day we are all supporting the love and care we provide to our residents, clients and patients. Hearing a child laugh and having a pet approach you looking for companionship brings us all so much joy. You are a wonderful example of how Silverado is able to give back to our own associates and support their families. Thank you for your suggestion of adding the benefit of paid jury service and thank you for your contribution to our mission.

Pros

I really enjoyed the residents and co-workers. The motto of the company is great. I wish that they cared about the employees as well.

Cons

Management does not support the employees. They will fire you rather than work to solve problems. I have seen great nurses and caregivers fired. They tossed them out like disposable gloves.

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. At Silverado, we really try and focus on support and education for our associates – beyond the requirements of continuing education for your licensure. We have an education reimbursement program, LIFE Leaders training, that helps to build and develop supervisory skills, and have supported many in their pursuit of becoming a certified nurse assistant, a nurse and even a future leader at Silverado. I invite you to contact a member of our Human Resources team to share your experience and what areas you believe we can improve.

We are so happy that you believe Silverado is a great place to work. We would love to learn more about additional benefits we could explore offering to our associates. Today, we offer a wide variety of health and wellness benefits including medical, dental & vision options. Silverado is one of the few organizations that allows associates to bring their children and pets to work every day. In fact, we encourage it because it creates a family-like atmosphere for both out residents and associates. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
