Pros

Six Flags is a great summer job, with flexible hours. It's a good place to meet people if your younger (15 to 20). Promotions come easy fairly easy.

Cons

Pay is much lower then comparable jobs. Favoritism tends to be problematic in every department. Benefits are poor, even for full time employees. Communication is lacking. Formal feedback forms are suppose to be done every 6 months, but never happen.

Pros

Overall good company, be prepared to do any and everything. Including serving food, ice cream, operating rides if needed. Wear all hats here.

Cons

Serving food, ice cream, etc. Long, long, long, long hours when park is actually open. Uniforms are not the best.

Pros

Decent summer job for a high school or college student. A lot of people interaction. Hard work. Occasional free rides. 4 free tickets to the park after working 200 hours.

Cons

7$ an hour was decent but the work was very difficult. There was a lot of repetitive movement and standing in the hot sun all day. One was given a single break depending on how long they worked that day (or no break) and breaks were done on rotation. However, it took 10-15 minutes to walk to the break area from your ride and this time was included in your break time - so they were much shorter. Management doesn't care about employees - they just care about having a full staff to do their dirty work for them. Customers vomit on the rides - more so on others and you have to clean it up. Saturdays are very hectic and chaotic. Work long hours for minimum wage. You only get your bonus extra "dollar" an hour if you work until the end of the season - so if you quit and have worked 750 hours at the place - you will not get your 750$ bonus. They also tax your bonus check substantially. This company offers no benefits other than "occasional" ride nights for employees. No chance of moving up unless you've worked there 2-5 seasons. 2 seasons to get a lead position at a ride. 3-5 to get a supervisor position. However, the pay increase is around 25 cents for extra work - so is it really worth it?
