Payday is weekly, $8 an hour, bring a friend for free every time you go, discounts

Cons

•You WILL be working 12+ hr shifts in the heat •All of the Leads and Supervisors are children themselves, so unless you are also in high school there will be no real sense of capable “management” •Because most of the employees are high schoolers, petty work drama abounds •Scheduling department does not care about personal schedules whatsoever; if you request time off for something important such as a doctor’s appointment (something I did), they will refuse to give you the time off. You are able to trade shifts with someone, but other employees often shy away from doing that. •The place is infested with roaches, so be careful sitting a personal bag down where they can get into it. •If you work at the Railroad ride, you WILL be left at the Superman Crossing for over 2 hours in the hot sun with NO water. This happened to me and my former co-workers multiple times.

As an employee you get free admission to the park and after you work 40 hours you get a pass that lets you bring in a friend for free for the whole season

Cons

The company treats its employees kind of like criminals. At least they do at Six Flags America. It is as if you have to prove yourself before anyone in any position of authority will take you seriously or treat you like a normal human being

Pros

It is good for a first job especially if you are really young. They start hiring at 15 years old. You get a lot of hours working for them, especially if you work in food service or retail. They are very flexible with their schedule. You get free admission to the park (you're not going to really want to come on your off day after you see it so much) and complimentary tickets to give away to family and friends (don't sell them though or you'll get fired)

Cons

You get paid minimum wage for the arduous work you do. You do not make overtime. There have been times where I have worked 12-13 hours and still only make $7.25/hr. There is also a lot of shadiness behind the scenes. Six Flags functions like a revolving door. It seems almost impossible to stay their long term as they start finding every little thing to fire you for the longer you stay there. Don't slip up at all. People in high positions take their power to their head and abuse it. Too many times the wrong individuals have been promoted because of their friendship/family connection rather than if they can actually do the job. Some supervisors engage in lying, framing and bully-like tactics to get what they want and show dominance. It is a game of chess there, so watch your back.
