Pros

The review below said it best, the free energy drinks and bags of chips.

Cons

This is by far the worst company (from my personal experience) to work for in the Sacramento area. Everything they try to sell you in the description is a giant smoke screen to bait people in and make it look as though this is a fun, friendly work environment. When in reality it is quite the opposite. The previous reviews stating how you as an employee will be subject to constant ridicule and verbal harrasment are true, or at least it is for the Support Department. If you have any questions on the software or how to handle a clients issue, you will be told to "google it yourself" or will be given the answer with a very aggressive attitude, making you very hesitant to ask anymore questions. They tell you that this is the company culture and how they train their support reps. Everyone that I have talked to that worked here past/present, have all had the same comical reaction to these 5 star reviews. They are from either the department manager or department leader. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES ALOT OF OTHERS, INCLUDING MYSELF, HAVE MADE BY WORKING FOR THIS PLACE AND TRUST ME WHEN I SAY YOU'RE BETTER OFF APPLYING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

We appreciate your radical candor. First I apologize for the experience you had. As for a specific response for the support department feedback, I can say that the support leadership is currently being reworked. We had a new support manager start on 6/15 and we are very confident they will be evolving the support department for the better. We are also looking at evaluating our training and the new manager will be going through that first hand. As for some of these specific concerns I will be sure to look into this further. thank you.

Toxic Environment

Pros

Free food 3 times a week, $100 on your birthday and the day off, $100 health reimbursement

Cons

There are the "Golden Children" within the company. This is absolutely true. Mainly sales, but also in Product and Account Management. The only reason they get away with the things they do is because the top brass Tyler (CEO) and DJ (COO) have established this culture. The "Golden Children" are their direct personal friends. The toxic culture comes straight from the top. It's not a secret to HR either. They've been told on countless exit interviews about this and are well aware, yet nothing changes because the power lies with Tyler and DJ, who are rarely in the office. It is very true that they are absent most of the time. Hard work is rarely recognized but often criticized. This was a regular complaint by multiple departments. When the company was sold to Fidelity, product innovation slowed to a crawl. Fidelity had their own plans for software changes they wanted specifically for Fidelity that had nothing to with the main SkySlope platform. Open office environment is horrible. They pack you in like sardines with television screens at the end of every row (it's very distracting and stressful). When you think they'll finally expand to the 3rd floor (which is also theirs), they just add another long table into a walkway on the 2nd floor and squeeze another 10 people in.

Thank you for the feedback and for giving some more clarity to the golden children in the company, I would like to understand more how they are treated differently and the effect it has on the company, please reach out if you can. As for the open office environment and TVs, we do recognize this may not be completely conducive to concentrating on work and are looking at potential solutions to this issue. There is definitely a fine balance between promoting from within and hiring experienced people. We will definitely look to coach those in roles they did not have prior experience in and hope the leadership coaching helps that as well.

Pros

Tech like company not in the bay area

Bad leadership. Tyler is not qualified to run a software company. He needs to go back to selling houses
