Pros

Technologically challenging and amusing, independent work plan & schedule, very good remuneration. Working schedule is extremely flexible—you can more or less work where and when you want as long as you deliver. The office has 24h free food which saves a lot of time. The social part of working at Skype is quite developed—team/company dinners/parties regularly. The company is also growing rapidly so there's no shortage of new stuff flowing in.

Cons

Not enough attention seems to have been paid to code/product/process/methodology quality in the beginning/recent years, albeit that is rapidly changing with a strong shift towards high standards and skill enhancement. The somewhat rapid growth rate can cause slight anxiety and restlessness.
