      Pros

      Great office location in the heart of downtown. Email archiving product works for the small niche that they serve. The VP of Sales and Operations left the company! The marketing executive does a decent job with what he has to work with. There are a good number of quality support, sales, service employees that work hard and are very competent.

      Cons

      niche product serving primarily financial institutions, micro-management through out the entire leadeship team, very "clicky" environment.

      Pros

      One of Oregon's fastest growing companies five years in a row, and it still feels like a startup in many respects. An especially good environment for motivated people. Upward mobility is based on merit. Contributions made from every individual position have a measurable effect on company performance. This place really is what you choose to make of it. The management team truly cares about their employees. They don't skimp on benefits, healthcare, vacation. They even give extra paid time off for volunteering. The CEO has an open door policy. The solutions were designed for specific industries, but are versatile enough to present opportunity in new areas. Smarsh is not going to slow their growth any time soon!

      Cons

      The company has more than tripled in size in the last three years. This isn't a con in itself, but with growth comes some challenges in maintaining culture. Any company that grows this fast will be faced with similar challenges. It's getting a lot better.
