Pros

It was remote and assistance call center manager was always helpful and kind.

Cons

The client I worked was toxic, no job stability they constantly loose contracts and downsize, Direct Manager was pretty hands off never heard from them unless there was an issue, never even saw the his face in the 5 years I worked there, he was hired on and never interacted with anyone on my team unless there was a problem. I had my hands in a lot of areas - I worked as a claims examiner as well - that management and position was great however again no job stability and I didn’t find a lot of room for growth. SDS bought out the company I was hired in with JMS and they changed the whole feel of the company it no longer felt family oriented and care for employees in my division was pretty much non existent. Pay raises were also ridiculously low 30-60 cents per year.

Pros

You can get away with wearing pretty much anything (apart from profanity) which is nice, and you can wear your headphones during work too, basically all day long if you want. As for the work itself? Very easy.

Cons

I have never worked for a company that so blatantly ignored the concerns of its employees. Despite persistent pleading, they won’t take care of various wasp nests on the patio, they ignored a destroyed bathroom for nearly a week, refused to fix windows that were letting bugs in for multiple months (which then later let in rain, imagine the mold smell), and refused to adequately cool the building via functioning AC or fans (which lead to horrific smells in the warehouse that were simply laughed at by leadership, despite good hygiene being a part of the company policy). Bringing any concern to the attention of literally any level of a higher up is often met with a response best summarized as “get over it”, or an empty promise of a solution. In addition, the lack of communication is rampant on every level, allowing gossip to thrive and creating a toxic workplace in general. Multiple leaders will also have different answers for a variety of issues, which makes figuring out the truth about basically anything a not-so-fun guessing game, and HR is no exception. I have truly never felt so professionally, or consistently, disrespected. They treat you like you’re disposable (because you pretty much are, due to the simpleness of the work), but having around 30 people leave the job within ~8 months (we counted once) is certainly nothing for them to brag about. The training is laughable at best, so it’s a good thing the job is so easy, but I would not recommend this job to anyone in any scenario. You are simply not paid enough to deal with the gaslighting and overall mistreatment that you will endure here.
