      Poorly managed and extremely stressful

      Pros

      It benefits mostly from being a small company with almost no corporate bureaucracy to bog things down.

      Cons

      You are essentially thrown to the wolves and forced to make mistakes and take shortcuts in order to learn how to manage your workload. There is a total lack of any formal orientation process, and there is no context given about the huge number of clients you will manage. A vast majority of the code base is outdated and arcane, which often leads you down a rabbit hole of desperately trying to locate the person who is most knowledgeable about a given client/process. Then you find out that person no longer works there. tldr; its pretty stressful.

      A Great Place to Work, but with Stagnant Pay

      Pros

      SDS is genuinely a good company that treats its employees with a lot of fairness and respect. The biggest thing I like about it is the continuous training they give us. They also have a generous PTO policy. Lastly the fact that the company allows us to work remotely makes a really huge difference in our lives. It shows the management values results over face time.

      Cons

      No salary increase since the start. The bonuses based on performance are also negligible.

      Willing to take on it people with much experience. Could give you a starter point to jump off from

      You are not an engineer you are more of a support engineer who replies to emaill all day with a quota and occasionally fixes bugs in file parsers. No actual meaningful PR reviews or any test coverage.
