Pros

There are seriously too many to list all of them but i'll try. The onsite gym is a MAJOR plus in my book. Your coworkers really do become your family here, and not the weird kind of family that you're forced to spend time with but the family you actually get excited about coming to work to see. Your managers and superiors actually care about you. They take time out of their day to make sure you know everything you need in order to be successful at your job and will guide you through difficult processes. Smith is the largest company in our sector of business making sales extremely easy. Don't get me wrong, it's still a sales job so there's a grind to it, but if you get someone on the phone who is in need, it doesn't take much convincing to pitch Smith to them. The ownership cares about its employees. As an example, during Harvey several employees were affected and the owners kindly offered a substantial amount of money to anyone who lost vehicles or homes and even offered company vehicles to those individuals in the meantime. They constantly put on work functions focused on team building/bonding and top earning sales individuals are allowed to travel to the different locations across the globe to learn from other teams. It's a wonderful work environment and easily the best job I've ever had. 401k match is great and benefits are amazing.

Cons

Smith is the company I plan on retiring at so it's tough to find cons to working here. The only thing I can think to say is that if you're interested in a sales position be prepared to grind. This job is fun and in a wonderful environment but it's still work and you have to come in prepared to pick up the phone all day long. It's the only way you'll be a successful trader here.

Pros

Most outstanding company to work for. For 20 yrs. the atmosphere is still stronger than ever. I love knowing that every day is a chance for a new and bigger opportunity that just waits for you.

Cons

It can get pretty intense at times. The more time and effort you put into the bigger the gain you will receive.

Pros

There is a substantial amount of pros for this company. A few of them being: Excellent benefits, PTO as soon as you get hired on, relaxed environment, a tight group of people to work with(not a 5,000+ employee company where the senior management does not know your name), competitive pay, bonuses, excellent company functions, a lot of opportunity for growth in the company, electrical car charging stations, fantastic facilities(especially the new operations warehouse)<---I can guarantee you wont find a better warehouse environment than the one Smith has here(A/C!!). I've seen some reviews of people talking about no opportunity for promotions, but I myself have experienced otherwise more than once in my time here. It may not be an annually reoccurring thing, but when the time comes for them to promote for another job, they always look internally within the company. My advice is to be the best in your department, learn all you can, and have a stable, professional, and good attitude for the work you do. That is how you get noticed.

Cons

We don have Segways :P
