Pros

- Casual working environment - Good work-life balance - It feels like a dream when working at Smith, because you will be told that Smith is No. 1 in everything

Cons

- The Mgt Team has no vision or capability - No training, regardless if it is on-the-job or classroom training - Most of the employees have been working in the company for 5+ years because they are stuck there, and most of the new employees cannot survive and would quit within a year - No performance evaluation for back office staff, which means no regular salary review

Pros

Seemingly growing company with potential for self-improvement down the road. Most employees are earnest, nice, and hardworking people. Many are using this platform to seek better paying jobs elsewhere when, in fact, the company could offer more competitive wages; thereby improving retention. Family Run

Cons

Pay, benefits, advancement, and, as is the case with most companies today, the top level execs are disproportionally compensated (and it's not because they work harder, believe me). Health insurance is very pricy and might be cheaper if purchased outside the company (which is probably exactly what they want). Family Run. For real. I ain't kidding. Nothing against family business but this place reeks of nepotism. Sorry, but that's not how you run a publicly traded company.
