Pros

You are provided a lunch card and the company also assists in repayment of student loans.

Cons

Not very flexible with scheduling and you will be placed in a bidding war for a schedule after you have completed training. Operations did not communicate well with department managers which sometimes created riffs in your daily work flow.

We really value your perspective, and sincerely appreciate that you've taken the time to share a review of your experience working at SoFi. We are sorry to hear that our scheduling shifts are not working for you. As we have transitioned a vast majority of our workforce to a remote environment, and in order to handle increased requests for member support, we have had to make scheduling changes to remain agile and respond to volume accordingly. That said, we hope you feel empowered to voice your concerns about bidding to your manager or PBP. In true SoFi fashion, we are always looking to iterate on processes. You can also reach out to us at glassdoor@sofi.org. Our Inside Sales job descriptions do reference the job includes responding to applicants inbound inquiries via phone regarding SoFi Products, as well as outbound communication to those who have shown an interest in learning more about our company. If you would like to continue this conversation, we welcome an email at glassdoor@sofi.org. Appreciate all you do for our members, thank you for your commitment to our mission. Take care.

Pay Concerns

Pros

The benefits provided are ok

Cons

Just be aware that when they hire you at a certain "pay", they don't tell you that for the first 6 months of intensive training, tests, and possibly being let go, they will actually paying you way less than what they said until you fulfill this 6 months of training. Additionally, the trainers have different opinions on what passes or fails and this can be a big problem.

We frequently review employee compensation to ensure it is fair and competitive based on external market data and individual performance. While teams may have different training periods and expectations, our goal is to set all of our employees up to be successful at SoFi. That said, we'd love the opportunity to connect with you 1:1 to better understand these concerns, especially your comments around different training standards, so if you are comfortable, please reach out to us at glassdoor@sofi.org so we can continue this conversation. Pros

Team members, direct employees are helpful. Health Benefits

Cons

Deceptive hiring practice - they lie to the new hires about loan turn times and expected commission funding. Third party fulfillment partner to process and close your loans is slow. You will not be able to contact processing or underwriting, as they are understaffed. Borrower complaints are constant and direct managers will not step-in and assist, as they pass off the delays/ errors to the fulfillment partner.

First off - thank you for the 2+ years you dedicated to working at SoFi, and for all you did to help support our members. We appreciate the candid feedback - your experience is not indicative of the environment we are working hard to create. We know the current housing market is making your job even more difficult, but let us assure you - leadership is aware of these challenges and are doing everything in their power to improve. For example, leadership is having regular round table discussions with the team to understand concerns, and has action plans in place to address them. Additionally, our current fulfillment vendor is staffing up and making changes so they can best support us. We also pride ourselves on being extremely open and transparent in the interview process about what to expect in the role, including the 3rd party fulfillment challenges. Lastly, our MLO leaders are hosting regular events to bring the team together, to help support them and bring some much deserved fun to their day-to-day. We know how hard you worked for our members, and we are sincerely grateful. Wishing you the best of luck in your next career endeavor. Take care.
