Codebase is old and gnarly; you'll maintain spaghetti code. The performance review and raise process is something right out of a Dilbert cartoon. They usually have a pay freeze, but if they don't, raises are strictly 2-3% increases. Backwards security practices make the job harder. You won't have the tools you need. For example, Internet access is severely restricted and basically unusable.

Executive management doesn't empower any level of management. The morale is low due to the strict security policies (internet use is not available or very limited at best), control of information and no communication to the employees. Unfortunately, it is a company of fear and intimidation.
