Pros

Softchoice cares is a great program that possitively effects the lives of people around the world.

Cons

Each year a number of companies have a third party company survey their employees to determine how much they like working there. A few years ago, employees responses rated us as one of the top places to work. Early 2012, they conducted the survey again, however Softchoice is now rated in the lower 25% of places to work. One of the most negative responses were in relation to a basic distrust of and lack of confidence in senior leadership. One of the senior leadership team members flew around the company to conduct round table discussions with employees. One of the most hilarious moments was when an employee asked an honest question, having only been at Softchoice for a short while. This employee wanted to know if we just resell product that other companies make, what makes us different than other organizations that resell. This leader appeared to be caught offguard and responded, "uh, we like to think that we do things better." This is "leadership" at Softchoice :).

Pros

Free food every once in a while

Cons

The Seattle office specifically is incredibly toxic. They are very focused on creating a fraternity/sorority themed culture. They do this by cultivating individuals "personal brand" which is their excuse to shame their employees for their personalities. In my time there, I witnessed countless instances of sexual harassment, drug abuse, and disrespectful behavior. Complaints of which were ignored entirely. There are no excuses for the behavior in this office and it comes from the top down; including the female leadership, who I assume are made to feel that if they are not ambassadors for the culture of the office that they will be ostracized by their colleagues. It was very frustrating to watch women in the office be told that they were crazy, as opposed to their opinions and perspectives being considered and respected.

Pros

I would love to leave this section blank but each section requires a 20 word minimum. You can play ping pong anytime of the day.

Cons

- The pay is not competitive AT ALL - There are no boundaries or professionalism, and respect is nonexistent - They're internal / technical resources have no standards of excellence nor do they receive proper compensation or TRAINING to care enough about helping others achieve success with their book of business - Field reps treat inside reps like slaves rather than business partners.
