Pros

I appreciated the support I received at STG. There were many people in my corner if I needed anything. I also enjoyed the efforts to have a community within the company as being a consultant can feel a little isolating.

Cons

My one complaint was that I wish they had paid parental leave.

Pros

It was a nice system when it worked. You would go onto a project then get off and spend sometime in the "dev center", after which you would move to a new project.

Cons

Supposedly the dev center is now so loaded there is a low chance of going there if your project ends, with the deciding factor being on if you have marketable skills, as opposed to proven performance in getting and maintaining clients. Having the security in-between projects is fundamental to taking a job here. If you don't have that security then you might as well go contracting because you will get more money.
