Good people. Who work hard and LOVE music.

Cons

A never ending cycle of heartbreaking layoffs. "Sony Corp's Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment Japan and Sony Music Publishing posted a 14% uptick in revenue in the fiscal year ending 3/31, powered by gains in subscription streaming revenue." - Hits Magazine, 5/14/25 And they laid off 100 people this year so far. Not to mention Q1 of 2024. Internally the meetings are all based around how much harder we all needed to perform. How can we "do more?" When externally, the press optics are how historically profitable they are. I was callously let go after 20+ years without as much as a 'thank you for your service.' Corporate greed at its most shameless.

- You get to work on some huge artists and get exposure into the inner workings of the music industry - Every day is exciting - every song has a different situation so you will definitely be kept on your toes and constantly learning and adapting

Cons

- The hours are horrific - it is expected that you devote your entire life to the company and your personal life is rarely respected - The pay is horrific - with high demand comes low wages - the amount of work there is compared to the pay is a joke. And don't even try to ask for a raise.
