Pros

Sound Transit cares about its employees and it shows in how they are treated along with the benefits. They trust their employees to do the right thing and get the good work done. It is a fast growing organization with many opportunities for career growth.

Cons

The pay is not top of market. Like many orgs, they are having challenges filling open positions, putting pressure on the existing workers. Because it's a government agency that partners with *many* organizations (such as King County Metro/Rail), things can take a long time to get accomplished.

Pros

Great medical benefits. Good work life balance. Hard and rewarding work. Remote/hybrid work available. I didn't face any discrimination regarding being a minority and that is so huge for me. They also care a lot for disable people. Salary is also great Managers are helpful and co workers are amazing Mission is noble and helping million people

Fantastic benefits, great work life balance, enthusiastic and devoted people who believe in the agency’s mission.

Cons

Lower salaries than the private sector. Tons of red tape with promotions and titles which miraculously get sidestepped when needed.
