Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is great to hear that you find our flexible work model is valuable! We hear that a lot from our team members and are proud to be able to provide this flexibility for our Sovosians. To address your comment on our CEO cutting the guts of this company, I have to disagree. We are making changes and we recognize that change can be difficult however it is making the company even stronger, a better partner for our customers, and more successful for our employees so that we can continue to be a leader in the market. We have to change some of our old ways of operating in order to support our customers, who are relying on us now more than ever for streamlined processes and efficiency. The industry we are in is very competitive, and we are making these changes to win and invest in areas where we were previously lacking. While it may not feel like an easy path, we have heard from many of our team members and customers that they are feeling the positive impacts of these implemented changes and will continue to support our employees on our journey to Level Up. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to speak about this further. My door is always open! Alice Katwan – President, Revenue

Pros

Used to be the people and depends on group, if you have a good manager and they stay or aren't let go you will be lucky but this is rare. Unlimited time off but no one ever has the ability to actually use it regardless of what anyone tells you.

Cons

Seems like the company is in constant state of re orgs that don't make any sense and affect the entire organization in a negative way. The goal is to keep growing as fast as possible yet they do not take necessary steps to ensure the company and employees are able to keep up - workload is excessive for many groups. Sovos says they care about keeping good people, high performers, good managers but actions indicate the opposite. Best advice - find someone in your network that worked there before and talk to them before you decide to apply.

Let me be absolutely clear: there is nothing more important for Sovos right now than keeping talented, engaged and inspired employees in roles where they can stretch toward their own professional potential, as we all stretch toward our potential as an organization, together. Our ability to keep our promises to customers, to lead in dynamic markets, to enable the people who count on us to improve their way of life – it all depends on Sovos employees around the world. That's the bottom-line. After 5+ years with us, you’ve probably heard me say many times that our mission to Solve Tax for Good is audacious. We are at a particularly critical moment in pursuit of that goal, when we must acquire top technology and talent to meet our customers’ needs everywhere they do business. I believe this moment to be one of exceptional professional opportunity for our team. I also recognize what we are doing is not easy. We expect our team to feel busy and challenged. But no one should stay quiet if they feel overwhelmed. Leaders across the company are here to listen and to help. I appreciate your feedback. I will keep it in mind as we continue to invest in the people, products and practices to support strategic growth while engaging our primary competitive advantage: our people.

Pros

You can throw the experience on your resume to land a better job.

Cons

- Pay is WAY below market average. - Nepotism is prevalent within the Atlanta branch. - Little to no room for career advancement, unless you are family. - Hard work does not get rewarded or recognized. - Incompetent mid-level management. - Company didn't care about customers; customers seemingly hated the company as a result.

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review and share your views of Sovos. We have created an environment where everyone has an equal chance to make an impact, where we give people the support and resources they need to grow and where everyone is rewarded for their contribution. So, we take feedback like yours very seriously. As a result, we’ve analyzed exit interview data, and we identified themes that need to be addressed. In particular, we are reviewing and improving several practice and structural items in the Atlanta office and are confident that any changes made will benefit the employees and our clients. In addition, I’d like to take a little time to address your comments one-by-one: • We care deeply about our clients, and while our customer satisfaction metrics are generally very good, we are continuing to make big investments on expanding our coverage in every region in which our clients operate and making further improvements to how we handle implementation support, technical support and customer success. • Personal and professional growth is one of our core values. We are very sorry that you did not feel you had professional growth conversations with your manager, we are actively addressing this with a new structure for the team you referenced. • At Sovos we strive to provide value to all of our employees, not only with salary but by other means such as health benefits, flexible time off, education reimbursement, and our wellness program geared towards enhancing employees overall well-being. • Nepotism hs no place in the Sovos culture -- and is in direct conflict with our core values. I can assure you we take your comments seriously, and are actively addressing them. • Lastly, recognition of hard work is something we value and focus on at all levels of the organization, including through a structured quarterly program. We received more than 75 employee recognition nominations last quarter for great work across the company. However, we know it is important to hear that from your manager and will work to ensure Sovos managers find ways to consistently recognize their people. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you well in your next role.
