Pros

I will maintain, the people I worked with day to day were genuine, kind, smart people that really, really believed in the company. We were all duped. It gave me the chance to broaden my skills and make new connections so when I was laid off, I had a chance to survive.

Cons

I feel like I was lied to and deceived - not by the people, but by management. Back when I came on board, they were all about US based jobs - 100% US, paying slightly lower than standard because of the culture and the remote work. But we loved it. Then they pulled the rug out and we realized we had bought into a scam. Leadership is NOT ethical or moral. They preached transparency and committed these ninja-like layoffs like we wouldn't notice. Everyday people disappeared. They lied about it. Then when they had no choice but to fess up, they held a meeting where NO questions or feedback was allowed. It was cowardly and deceptive. I feel so sorry for the people still there - just a stream of lies and broken promises while they continue to hand over US jobs to "near shore" companies. They fudge the numbers - are the near shore included in numbers or not? No one seems to know. It's a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend anyone to apply. I saw a review earlier that said to use it as a step up on your way somewhere else, and that's valid. Take the piddly money they offer and keep looking. You are not safe here.

Pros

The colleagues make this company. For the most part, the environment is extremely relaxed.

Cons

The salary is ridiculous. They said in an article that Programmer Analysts get paid average 62K when all the analysts I speak with are making below that. Location isn't a viable argument, being that all your locations are "low cost of living" right? If you're in LIMS then it's probably not the best environment. Also, you might get thrown onto random projects that have nothing to do with your skill set or even what you want to learn.

Pros

The only pro is that it’s a job in a tough tech market - period. And that’s how you’re treated - “lucky to be getting a paycheck”

Cons

Unaccountable senior leadership. Everyone knows the founders have already made their money and seem checked out, and out of touch - and have lost all the respect of colleagues. Management seems to be in over their heads trying to reinvent a company that no longer has a clear identity in the market since they baled on the 100% US model. Many clients are not renewing, and it seems the company continues to shrink. There is no consistent communication to ground level colleagues, and what does come is full of lies and misinformation. The great culture that once was is long gone - especially with 3 recent acquisitions that really don’t seem to be integrating well given the number of layoffs that continue to happen. And the company structure is a confusing mess - moving from regions, to ‘cohorts’, now to practices. What next? It’s like they are reading a different management book every 6 months.
