Pros

This company seems to put patient care first. Co-workers and management are accessable and friendly. They have given me opportunities to grow and learn. I like the people I work with and I am glad to be a part of this team. SpecialtyCare has hospitals all over the US and there is relocation opportunity which is nice.

Cons

No cons - I really enjoy working for SpecialtyCare. I have worked for many health care companies over the years and they do a great job. They have provided a lot of training and have a lot of classes on-line.

Pros

SpecialtyCare is a cohesive unit with a lot of great people working together to achieve a common goal. Upper Management is caring and very approachable. They make SpecialtyCare a fun place to work. You cannot be afraid of hard work. If you are, then SpecialtyCare is not the place for you. This is one of the best companies I've ever worked for. Everyone at SpecialtyCare wants to see everyone else succeed and I love waking up and going to work every morning! I wish I'd found them sooner.

Cons

There are not more companies that follow the SpecialtyCare model of success.

Pros

They have a lovely office building in Brentwood TN where people who know nothing about the business of perfusion, and who are unable to generate revenue themselves, work in air-conditioned comfort. The communications department is excellent and staffed with very pleasant people.

Cons

Because they employ so many perfusionists and their wages are so low, they are falsley deflateing the wages for the rest of the industry. They place people in management who are uneducated about the industry. They are clearly driven by favoritism. Meanwhile, honest work and professionalism have no value and being a top clinician has no merit. They love to give out awards to their favorites and take nice glossy pictures of such. At the same time, perfusionists who are actually doing the work everyday go horribly unappreciated. The "tone" is very dark and the threat of retaliation is ever present to the "un-favorites". The corporate management clearly has a grandiose sense of self pride and insidious corporate narcissism. A horrible disaster of a company with a malignant lack of corporate self awareness. Job seekers should avoid this company at all cost.
