Toxic environment for residents & workers

Pros

- flexible schedule - residents are nice -$25 Christmas bonuses that gets taken out of your paycheck -provide meals (only 4 options of food)

Cons

- management only cares about money and image. A lot of residents go on hospice care, and caregivers are not skilled enough to help them. Most hospice residents develop ulcers pressures and do not even eat because caregivers forget. They increase the rates every month. If it is not in your care plan, you will get charge extra. -residents do not get the care they should be getting .. Most of these caregivers are not certified CNA and skip training. Thus the care is not to a good standard. It whatever they are in the mood for. - Toxic work environment; workers harassing other workers (verbally) and directors do not care. Directors talk negatively to each other about their employees. Gossiping is their skill. - not enough staff members. 3 people per shift is not enough to give showers, laundry, escort to meal, toileting, and other needed assistance.

Solid Company

Pros

-corporate and regional leadership for the F&B department is the most involved and responsive I've ever seen -executive director is empowered to truly lead the community and make decisions to improve resident satisfaction instead of being micromanaged at the corporate level. -a true atmosphere of team work where the residents are the focus and not profits.

Cons

-there's been turn over at the corporate and regional level of operations, leaving community level leadership unsettled
