Pros

Hope you get lucky with a great team. Benefits are good, but very expensive. That's it...there aren't really any Pros here.

Cons

They micro-manage you to death! No one buys cable anymore and they keep raising their prices, even when there products are horrible. They don't care about their customers, only money in their wallet. You pitch mobile to everyone - even if that customer has been pitched 7-8 times already or the mobile service is not applicable to their area. They don't care. They have way too many rules you have to follow of what or how you can sell. Lastly, you have more incidents every call that counts against you (sale-wise), then the positives that can earn you $$$. The pay is not worth the work you put in. If you make a huge commission, but your productivity is under a certain value...they'll take money you earned out of your commission....like 20%-30% - what kind of mess is that; sounds illegal to me.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We know that a positive, supportive team can make all the difference for a successful career. The experience you describe is not in keeping with our company values. When some employees do not comply with policies or create a hostile working environment, it hurts us all. We have taken note of your comments and will share them with our leadership.

Pros

Learned invaluable computer skills and the ability to navigate through different software programs.

Cons

Too many to list! Tethered to your desk, while taking call after call of unhappy Spectrum customers. During the training period, you work as part of a team, with the support and encouragement of your mentors and peers. Once you graduate to "production", it feels like you are on a desert island alone. No more motivational morning meetings, going over sales figures from the previous day, no words of encouragement or the playful banter before getting down to business. I used the restroom after I got to production and was a little amazed to see a supervisor at my desk, inquiring where I had been, why wasn't I on a call, and was I in "break" staus in the calling system we used. I was informed I would also need to deduct that "unscheduled" break time from my regular break allotment. Basically the job wasn't anything like training, and I knew it wasn't for me right away.
