Pros

Ford ownership seems to impart a degree of confidence for all the teams. It still feels like a start-up: dynamic, fast, space to grow, plenty of room to make a noticeable impact. HQ is a positive environment, where people are motivated. Perks include free catered lunch and snacks!

Cons

We're outgrowing our office space. The teams are growing fast and I think it's going to be important to proactively work on team building -- this one's not a con yet, but it has potential.

We are happy to hear you are enjoying your time at Spin! We all feel the office growing pains and are working on temporary solutions until we have more space. Team-building is very important and although we have company-wide events, your team should also be having quarterly team-building events as well. Please reach out to your manager to check in on this to see if you have anything coming up!

Hyper growth with a lot of dead weight

Pros

Free lunch. Unlimited PTO. Great with partnerships and city involvement.

Cons

Everything starts top down, and they have a lot of people who don't know what they're doing taking manager roles. They're having a hard time hiring quality people because they aren't as competitive as they think they are, so they end up hiring sub par people. There were quality people that I wanted to hire, but HR lowballed them. HR talks about looking out for the interests of the employees, but every bonus (even performance ones) have a "claw back" term. No accountability; can make many wrong decisions without consequences.

Thank you for your feedback, We definitely want to be competitive with other companies so we can hire top talent. We use compensation benchmarks to make sure we are competitive within our industry, but we cannot always meet everyone's expectations. Please work with your manager and HR / recruiting with any concerns you have in the hiring process.
