Pros

Smart people at work. Super diverse. Global. World class innovation at space / nano-satellites / data. Tremendous opportunity to convert innovation into sales & revenues. Room for creativity and initiative. Can-do attitude. In the middle of new data sales models. Data from space to improve business on earth.

Cons

Like in every scale-up: fast growth requires multiple activities in parallel, which can create temporary chaos. Necessary however to keep the speed of growth, but one need to be able to see the "big picture" to avoid getting lost.

Pros

Spire is a fascinating and friendly place to work. Spire has a large satellite constellation that it uses to collect weather, shipping and aviation data. While each business line is interesting, its weather data and products have the potential to change the world. The atmosphere in the offices I have visited has been good - the people are all really smart and extremely friendly

Cons

Not many. The work environment is very focused with an emphasis on speed, accuracy and quality - it is a world-wide space business start-up working 24 hours a day. This tends to mean people looking for a less demanding life or who cannot adapt to the work environment leave the company quickly

Pros

First off, its filled with super passionate individuals. Its something that really hits you right from your first day and has not changed over my time here. Second, its working on something incredibly relevant for our time - improved weather prediction. Especially with climate change, I couldn't think of anything more relevant to work on. Third, the company keeps on attracting not just great individuals that are world experts in their fields, but experienced senior management that has done this. We are really growing up (which by the way is something not everyone always likes)

Cons

They have a regular promotion schedule, which is great, and when you get promoted its a big step-change in comp, but the overall system is not well understood and rolled out. They really have to do a better job in making sure everyone understands the system well.
