Pros

Free food at any time anywhere. find a place to sleep the rest is taken care of Good retirement plan right after college. International trips (be ready to get insulted by so-called Employee relations) Do you want to learn something? you are funded!!!! Promotions, hike, awards to people who can adjust to everything that is thrown at them and if you know to please people Investors invest money and you can fatten your savings You know to kiss anything and everything? - you are hired!!!! The only company where HR team is eligible for referral Bonus/es. Interesting!!!!

Cons

A pristine and ideal image in marketing materials and publicity, however, the day-to-day operation is far from glamorous Do your due diligence before you apply, get a sense of the digs and see if it’s a place you want to spend 40+ hours a week No matter how desperate you are for a job, or how annoyed you may be at your current gig, there are some companies you’re better off not working for and Springboard is one of them Even if the money is good, the role seems irresistible, and even your friends say it’s worth a shot, accepting a role at a disoriented company can set your career back and even jeopardize your future success former employees who were not in terms have gone through horrific BGV statements by HR People who have been terminated from the previous employer for integrity issues are Managing Directors and Managers here. Nonperformers are retained in the company if they know to knock the right door. Junior-level employees have to come up with a strategy plan (brainstorm) before MD's discussion with investors, Management, and other stakeholders Get ready to get your regular visits to a psychologist once you start working to ensure you are in the right frame of mind to deal with bull stories and tantrums Top performers are told that they are not working satisfactorily and insulted in front of the entire office. If you question anything that is working well for specific individuals benefits, consider yourself a bait HR does not follow any process or take suggestions but wants others to follow the HR process. The majority of employees are friends and family who have found a good source of income for the retirement plan and future investments.

From: VP People Thank you for taking the time to write us a review on Glassdoor. “Open, honest, and constructive” is a core company value we take very seriously. We value hearing what we are doing well, and appreciate any specific feedback on where we need to improve. We’re glad to read that you enjoyed our many perks, including our learning budgets which fund employees for both personal learning experiences as well as on the job training to further professional skills. We believe our care for employees, combined with our “mission-first” focus, are major reasons why our employee satisfaction remains consistently high compared to peer companies. This said, we’re sorry to hear that you had a negative experience working at Springboard, and especially saddened to hear comments referring to insults and unfair treatment, which goes directly against our core value of “humanness”. Unfortunately it’s very difficult for us to understand (or take action on) the general circumstances you’re mentioning, without more specifics. So although you’ve moved on from the company, we want to take this as an opportunity to “always be learning” (another of our core values), and encourage all Springboarders to come to their manager, someone on People Ops, or the Exec team, if they ever observe behavior that they feel is unjust or potentially damaging to anyone’s morale. And if you’re open to it, we’d be grateful if you connected with our People Operations leadership so we can learn more about the situations you mentioned. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

Pros

To me, working at Springboard, in a nutshell, means: collaborating and growing alongside a competent, respectful, and values-aligned team. I joined when the team was 1/3 its current size. It’s been an intense and super rewarding journey, with lots of highlights: a team offsite abroad (and another one in a few weeks), "remote work weeks," a move out of WeWork to our very own office, a Series A raise, several new course launches, our first-ever user conference, celebrating Halloween and Friendsgiving, getting to speak live with the students and mentors who dial in to our all-hands meetings... What I love most about working here is: (1) I see our core company values in action on a daily basis: people care about our mission, about humanness and relationships, about their own learning and professional development, and about striving for excellence and taking ownership. (2) It’s not just the “highlights” above that I appreciate, but also the loud laughter at our team lunches, the hugs when someone gets back from vacation, the ridiculous Slack emojifests... Time flies when you’re having fun, they say! :-) One other point of pride and happiness for me is seeing so many women in key positions on the team. Not every company can boast that, even outside of tech.

Cons

We’re an ambitious team that’s out to do good in the world *and* win in the marketplace... Plus, there are always more ideas than there is time... And the devil’s in the details. So net net, we have a high need for hustle and grit, which can sometimes mean a long workday (including calls with the other office in off-hours). Classic #startuplyfe! It helps to remind myself that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and to make sure to take downtime with family, friends, and activities when I need to get away from my computer (whether that's a couple of hours, or a few days, at a time)!

Pros

- Really positive team and co-founders that encourage professional development. - The ability to make an impact in education. - Great benefits - funny co-working space, unlimited vacation days, semi-annual company retreats, etc.

Cons

- Communication can sometimes get lost since we have 2 offices (one in San Francisco and the other in Bangalore), however, it's pretty minimal.

Thank you! We will definitely keep promoting our mission! It is much easier when we have great co-workers to help us with it. We do realize there could be challenges with teams in different time zones and always appreciate your feedback and suggestions on potential improvements.
