Pros
Beautiful Campus: The campus grounds are absolutely beautiful and I love to take a stroll around campus when I am able. Dedicated Faculty and Staff: There are some faculty and staff who are dedicated to the mission and stay around for a long time. Tuition Discount: There is a 75% tuition discount for dependents after 1 year of service.
Cons
Poor Pay: Just about everywhere in higher ed pays more than St Kates. Financial Instability: Financial instability is going to be a problem in higher ed for a long time, and I don't see St Kates coming out of it any time soon. Retirement contributions have been greatly reduced with no plans to return it to the previous baseline. Reduced enrollment: Again, this isn't unique to St Kates but is contributing to the financial instability. There is a lot of pressure to admit anyone with a pulse and the ability to pay, even in the professional fields. Likewise, these students are often unable to adequately pass coursework and then faculty are pressured to give them a passing grade.
