Wonderful campus, needs more balance though

Pros

St. Kate's is a wonderful institution and campus. Being a part of a strong mission and values gives you a lot of great experiences. The people who work there are wonderful and the students are amazing.

Cons

The work life balance makes it difficult to retain high quality staff, creating turn over and leaving overworked employees with each transition. Burn out is high and it makes collaborating as a whole campus difficult.

Tight knit community. Supportive, Encouraging. Supervisors find ways to stretch and grow you in the job. Work life balance is well integrated

Cons

Hard to get in or get promoted if you are not Catholic. If you're on time, you're late..procrastination not tolerated.

- coworkers are well educated and very professional; - coworkers genuinely care about public service, student education, and community involvement; - communication between colleges, departments, and offices is good; - ownership of and responsibility for project management is good; - the University as a whole is working to position itself to accommodate changing student demographics and a changing economy;

Cons

- salaries are low due to organizational culture that originates with nuns who value a martyrdom complex -- work very hard for very little material reward; - as a result of the first con, the organization frequently loses talented people to neighboring institutions;
