Pros

Great benefits, good wages but doesn't keep pace with the cost of living here, many opportunities for professional growth and development.

Cons

The culture is petty, unprofessional at times among people who should be professional. Also very cliquish, narrow-minded, and vindictive even at the management level. There is not enough diversity but they appear to be working on it. It feels like high school working here. I shouldn't have but I expected better conduct given the name and reputation of the organization. The area is unaffordable and the commute to more affordable housing is long.

Pros

-Pay is extremely good, far better than an offer for a similar position at Kaiser -They give you all equipment needed, no questions asked (laptop, iphone, ipad, accessories, etc)

Cons

-management is horrible, somehow micro-managed from the top -too many high-level layers with not enough worker bees... tons of directors, project managers that don't do any work except brown nose and only want their name involved in high level projects. And everyone seems to have "lead" in their title. And what is a "Transformation" team, why does it need a director and people to boss others around

Pros

Nice area, great to have Stanford on you resume (even though it's just a name), ethnic diversity, adequate support staff

Cons

If you like: A toxic and hostile cut-throat work environment Vicious, backstabbing coworkers Being micromanaged Managers with personality disorders or lack thereof, using intimidation and fear to manage, talking to staff like they're children Commuting in heavy traffic between 4-5 pm. Traffic most of the time starts getting bad around 3 pm and it doesn't matter which route you take High cost of living Paying for parking, paid $29/month. Some pay up to $900/year to park in closer structures Working in a 1950's retro dump Then this place is for you.
