      Pros

      Training, colleagues, support, hours, fairly easy to get new customers because of name recognistion

      Cons

      While Staples is excellent at training, implementing marketing campaigns, and most things sales, they are HORRIBLE at delivering finished products in a timely, professional, and quality manner. They only way to make money in the printing business is to have repeat customers and establish long term relationships. This is impossible to do at Staples because it is almost impossible to complete a project without something being wrong.

      Pros

      Well known brand for resume. Potential to move around roles given the sheer size of the company.

      Cons

      The company is dying a slow death and taking employees' jobs and benefits with it. Layoffs have persisted for roughly 2 years. Also, employee benefits have been part of the cut the cost initiative aimed at saving money. These cuts have resulted in lower than average compensation for the Greater Boston area.

      Pros

      Staples Delivery was a good company to work for. I've been there for 10+ years. The pay,benefits, and work environment is the best.

      Cons

      Because of corporate greed several thousand employees are losing their jobs. All of the Staples business/ Home delivery is being contracted out to a third party delivery service so Staples can make more money and displace several thousand workers.
