      Pros

      The benefits are pretty good. If it wasn't for the benefits, I'd work anywhere else. Medical, dental, etc are decent for retail. Every once in a while, a good manager or district manager will sneek through.

      Cons

      Training is a joke! You do NOT want their techs working on your computer! Several training videos and multiple choice tests and the associates are considered Ready to Go! The bonus program used to be good-an associate could make some extra money. Instead of eliminating the bonus program all together, the program was changed to be unobtainable. In fact, if a store is making budget-surprise! The budget is changed and raised mid-year to unobtainable levels. The EASY Tech associates and the Copy Center associates are super understaffed and have unrealistic goals. Copy Center has only 30 seconds to say hello to a customer when they walk up to the counter! That's cruel!

      Pros

      Staples is a pretty decent place to work for. The managers of each department seem to come and go every few months, but all of them are very pleasant to work for. The hours and work is equivalent to almost every other merchandising position. Where I worked it was a fun environment with the other coworkers.

      Cons

      Very rough trying to get a schedule change if you start school. I asked numerous times about changing my schedule for college except they were unwilling to make that change even though at the time they said they would.
