Pros

Learned State Farm’s business structure

Cons

The independent agent at the time was a new agent and she constantly changed employee packet and commission structure. She also did not want me to take too many leads like she was in competition with her own employees. I was understanding of her pay structure change (she was new) until I had a personal referral and when she decided to change the commission down to $10 each referral from previous % based commission structure - which if you are in this industry, is a joke. No matter how big of a policy you write, you just get a $10 commission - and I lost passion, the rooting for her business to succeed, I lost total respect for her.
