Pros

401k, health, dental, vision insurance. Small bonus based on auto growth and performance.. Small cafeteria on sight. Air conditioned building with running water.

Cons

Employees have completely stripped of having a work-life balance. No room for emergencies or unscheduled events. If you don’t give 24 hour notice you will get points. Vacation request are done almost a year in advance. Monday and or Friday are taken for the year unless your manager will override a day. This makes a person feel trapped - you can’t have an unexpected occurrence happen or you get points. Employees come to work sick, postpone surgeries and dr appts, miss school events, etc. a co-worker was involved in a car accident and got points because she was late to work. Long term employees are taking sizable pay cuts to work at other insurance companies. That should tell the company something. The company doesn’t care. They rather pay newbies a smaller salary, or independents. Customer service is slipping and customers are leaving. Unless you want every minute of your day micro-managed and work at a sinking ship, I suggest going somewhere else.

Pros

Consistent pay Good health insurance

Cons

T2 the time policy is TERRIBLE. Not associate friendly AT ALL. PTO & sick time Come from the same bank & are earned on a slow pace. The Richardson location is in the middle of Dallas worst traffic. There are not many opportunities for growth. Pay increases are very minimal if at all. There are too many competitors for SF’s salaries to be so low.

Pros

State Farm has a decent salary and benefit package. In the past they had sme of the best training In the industry. Company provided equipment is top-of-the-line.

Cons

State Farm has undergone a total cultural shift during their re-organization. What used to be a company that was loyal to their customers and employees appears to have shifted to a company that is loyal to the bottom line only. Customer service is waning, policyholder retention is at an all-time high, yet upper management seems to think ignoring the Voice of the customer and the voice of the employees is a good idea.
