Pros

Advancement opportunity for motivated employees. Caring and understanding senior management. Rewarding atmosphere. Competative pay for the field. Fiscally aware and maintains employee workforce despite state/federal budget cuts.

Cons

Non-profit leaves agency and employees vulnerable to state/federal budget cuts, resulting in less than desireable health benefits, limited opportunity to work overtime, infrequent raises/bonuses/incentives.
