Pros

Stericycle is an extremely successful medical waste management company. Another division, the Recall division is the right service at the right time and is poised to make a market impact.

Cons

The lack of leadership and communication among the ranks leads to confusion and an incredible amount of gossip, disconnect and overall back-stabbing. Not a place to work if you expect clear direction, nice working environment and a place where conflict is dealt with in a healthy manner.

Pros

As a Driver we get to see a lot of things that most people don't see ever.

Cons

I have worked for the company for 10 yrs, have done a lot and seen alot. I have seen this company go from screw the customer to screw the employee's to where we are now which is screw both of them. You can never and I mean never do anything right even if you do they change the rules! We just completed a employee survey which was supposed to be anonymous but yet they asked for the last 5 numbers of your social security number, I called HR and asked how this was anonymous and they told me if I dont like it I need to quit because it was clear to them that if an employee has this question than they don't trust the company. I was floored, I had drank the kool-aid and bought into the whole one team one goal theory. But now this type of response on top of going to a 4 day work week losing almost 10 thousand a year, while to company posted a 1.1 billion in sales, they give an across the board 3% raise even if you miss stops, have customer complaints, accidents, call in sick etc. The middle management is afraid of losing power so they dont give you all the info you need in order to complete your job, Biosystems is the biggest losing adventure this company has ever taken on period. As far as growing the company by acquisitions it has created some real divides they are still managers that will say "well we do things the BFI way and that is that", or "Were Biosystems and you dont tell us how to run this". I can not wait until Waste Management gets rolling I will be moving on to the BIG GREEN!

Pros

Larger sized company with a small company feel Excellent job benefits, including stock options for eligible employees Great co-workers Exciting growth and opportunities

Cons

Since the company grew so fast, many of the business processes struggle to keep up. Growth through acquisition can lead to a lot of technical challenges. Some of the way that the company service offerings are designed can be very confusing and complicated.
