Hi there Thank you for your review. Short and crisp. Happy to read it. I hope you share your thoughts with your boss also - I think she or he will be also happy to get your thoughts. Performance should be rewarded - looks like that works for you. Concerning your cons: Nobody likes admin stuff and I totally understand that it is annoying for you. Same here, same for me. Two things I'd like to add to this: 1. We are on a continuous improvement "journey" - we are working on that. Because of the fact that nobody likes that stuff (including those who have to execute it), it is our goal to spend as much of our time as possible to work on and with our products. Following our "Player-Learner" approach we try to optimize our work and behavior to perform better. 2. Unfortunately not every administrative effort comes from us. The majority of this stuff is because of legal and tax requirements, some of it is simply necessary to make things working. Sometimes (and that is coming out of my own experience) I don't understand why I have to deliver a report, fill a form or do some stupid stuff - the reason is simple: I do not have all information about it. In most cases, there is a good reason for it. And where this reason is missing - we should get rid of it. Follow our core behaviors: if you see something to be improved - make it yours, speak up and try to improve it with us. I cannot promise you that we will reduce every admin stuff but if we do not take action all together it will not work. Feel invited to join us on that mission. Good to have you with us. Don't stop rocking dentistry with us and thanks again for sharing your thoughts! Greetings from Basel Marcus --- Marcus Fischer Head of Global Talent Acquisition + Employer Branding

Thanks for your post and for sharing your opinion. I’m glad that your workload was manageable. That’s a tricky balance in a company growing as fast as we are! I’m sorry to hear that you feel that your path is blocked if you criticize, because we actually encourage people to challenge the status quo. That said, we encourage a healthy form of questioning and if someone has a better idea, we want to hear alternative solutions. I’d like to talk with you more about your experience so that we can get you on a path to continue to develop your career. Please contact me at 978-747-2708. Kind regards, Linda Farr VP Human Resources

Straumann: Fast, dynamic and a roller coaster of a company.

Pros

Wonderful people within an optimistic environment. Cross functional interactions and matrix organization is efficient and generally open-minded. This is a fast growing company so the possibilities seem endless.

Cons

Marketing and sales are currently making the decisions for R&D. Decision making is strictly top-down and often emotional. Agressive time to market deadlines have begun to circumvent the traditional science-based development approach that makes Straumann famous and trusted.

Hi there Thank you for your review and the feedback. I honestly hope that we do not take steps back as you said. Referring to aggressive time-to-market timelines, the challenge for all of us is that we are part of a very dynamic industry - compared to others, for example, pharma or automotive - you are right, our development cycles are shorter but I would not say that we lose our scientific roots. Methods are changing and tools are changing - but there is no compromise when it comes to quality. While discussing our Employer Value Propositions with many of our colleagues I learned (and feel, yes it's emotional, you're right again) that caring for our patient's needs is a central part of our employer DNA. Maybe it is a very subjective impression but I think the willingness to deliver the best quality possible is what makes the company so successful. Sometimes you have to leave the known paths to find better solutions and that is leading to disruption. This is why we invest heavily in developing our people to live and breath the Player-Learner-Mindset. We can discuss this for hours and I invite you - if you want to - to contact me directly here in the office or by mail. I would love to find out more about what you are experiencing. I hope that you stay with us in future. We need people who speak up and share their experiences. Thank you for that. It is highly appreciated! Greetings from Basel Marcus --- Team Talent Acquisition
